it does.
🙂
don't want you to think i am that rude.
i can't reply to all of you…but often when you ask me a question i answer.
but then hear from you again because you think i didn't answer.
AND…to the commenter named j.o.…your mail always comes back to me.
i know you are local and i try to answer your comments.
but it says the email is wrong.
hmmmm….
i took the kids to see grandma and grandpa.
my nieces were there…and my sister too.
we went swimming…shopping…ate too much.
all good stuff.
the big deal was "when is the egg hunt grandma?"
over and over.
we had to dye the eggs first….
waiting….waiting….waiting….
it wasn't too messy at all this year. they hid them and found them…and hid them and found them…
i think they did that four times.
we had two really nice days to play.
my mom made coconut cake!
sooooo good.
i went to get the kiddos into bed and walked in on this….
these three working on a word find book TOGETHER…taking turns…and giggling.
and the words were all names of famous artists.
it just cracked me up.
good to see you mom, dad and lorel.
can't wait for next month….
Hi Meg, I think my son has a cruch on Annie. He wanted me to keep it on her picture for a very long time. She is very cute. LOVE your new frog header. I enjoy your visiting your blog…. very inspiring! I love how they hide them over and over! So fun! You always get the best angles on your pictures. so cute! i really missed having a normal easter this year with us on the road, but we were all together and that was priceless! great shots. These are great. Absolutely had a great time with all the grandkids and kids under our roof. Lauren helped me hide the eggs the first time, and Scott was so fast finding his eggs, he was off doing his thing before the camera could find him. Thanks so much for coming! We had a perfect sunny day Saturday! Hi Meg – I found your blog through Etsy – a lady asked me to make her a sign and she wrote that she had found my shop through this blog – so I just wanted to say THANKS!!! – I couldn’t find the exact post – because I got sidetracked looking at your awesome photos of your house – love your kitchen and bathroo, but especially your craft room! 🙂 And now I have to go pick up from preschool! Love the colors of your holiday- glad it was happy! I love the new header! What fun pictures! Looks like a really great time. Awesome colors in your photos! I always loved Easter as a kid. The eggs, the candy, the reason, it’s all good. Love love love the new froggy header! Happy Easter to you and your fam! Happy Easter to you and your family. Thank you for the colors. pictures. and New Life your blog has brought into my own home! Love the Easter pictures. So glad you got to spend it with family! Megan, I am enthralled with the containers you used to put the egg dye in. What are they? It has been a tradition for my husband, son, and I to color Easter eggs every year since Dan was little. The only time we didn’t all three do it together was when he was still away at school He is now 23 and home from CA, so we did it together on Sat. He said it was still fun, so I hope he carries the tradition on when he has his own family some day. Your pictures are beautiful! I love the colors. My pictures don’t seem to capture the vivid color yours does. What great colors! Love it! they have been here since saturday… with their two kids.
we had a great time just hanging out.
they left this morning….even though i tried to convince them to just move in with us.
i miss them already.
now that they are gone i guess i have some work to do.
i shipped a bunch of t-shirts on monday.
i will ship a bunch more things tomorrow.
thanks again for your patience with the etsy shop.
i will be hunkered down in the craft room till all the orders are finished.
i will only come out for coffee.
and laundry.
It was such a nice visit, just like the good old days. It made me miss you more when we left. Why did you have to move so darn far again? It must have been so nice to have your BFFs staying with you. It’s so hard when they have to go. Have fun crafting! 🙂 oh you’ve been having FUN! Okay, this is becoming quite humorous….I guess my first comment got lost in blog heaven. I misspelled crafting…and said crating…so I went back to correct it..and realized it never even posted! Sheesh! Sorry about all these comments 🙁 yea. um, obviously, I meant “crafting” and not “crating” :0 So thankful for friends like that too 🙂 Good luck with the crating…and the laundry 🙁 What a fun picture! It’s hard having friends leave. Can’t they just uproot their lives to make us happy? I don’t think that’s asking too much, do you? Glad you got to spend time with friends though! i can’t believe you don’t have a coffee pot in the toy room! as fab as it is, you should get a dispenser! Hey Megan, thanks for your visit I hope you liked what you saw! Now get the laundry going… LOL Great photo!! I have a question that doesn’t really pertain to this post…I was wondering how you got your middle column to be wide? My blog is in Typepad too, and I can’t figure it out. Maybe you can help! awww cute pic Hills! Meg, you sound swamped! Good luck! (although, I would Love to be stuck in a craft room! but I do realize shipping things doesn’t sound so appealing!) I’d help if I could! 🙂 Good luck! If you need a break from crafting, you and annie should come over for some coffee. Well, you coffee, annie play. YAY!!! dave made the blog. 😉 good job dave. do you have a bathroom in your craftroom? that just sucks (that they have to leave, not that you have such great friends….)….. i am working on etsy orders while we are gone. i don't want you to think i am blowing you off.
but i did tell you it would take awhile so THANK YOU for your patience
and willingness to help the build the Cora Playground.
GO TO THE CONCERT tonight if you are local.
don't forget.
take your kids in their jammies…buy them lots of hot cocoa.
and drink big big coffees.
invite your friends and neighbors…it's okay if you don't know the Macs personally.
this is bigger than that.
you will know someone there….
take some pictures too.
it's open to everyone and it will be fun.
it's small town good clean FUN.
i wish i could come just to see YOU. GO GO GO.
buy one extra coffee and drink it for me please…
(and think of us just pulling into our hotel room all stir crazy and wacko from 9 hours in the car.)
AND…my husband got internet on his blackberry for me for the week.
so i get to be in blog land.
ahhhhhhhh…….huge sigh of relief.
i was starting to feel a little shaky about the whole trip without my internets and the google.
(only half kidding)
i am out the door to walmart before we leave in an hour.
i am buying nacho libre. :)
stayed tuned for vacation eye candy.
maybe we'll even see the world's largest ball of twine.
i PROMISE to take a picture if we do.
it's beautiful….and not just cause i'm in it.
it's beautiful because she said so well exactly how i feel about blogging.
thanks laura.

Missed your posts while you were gone! Every time I checked (can you blog via blackberry? I have no idea, but I thought maybe you could. After reading your updates, though, I see you were WAY too busy to blog :)) anyway, every time I checked I would think of that song by Crosby, Stills & Nash “just a song before I go”. I know you’re probably too young to remember that, but . . . had to share it anyway! I hope you’re having a blast with your family!! I miss you and can’t wait to see vacation pictures!! I hope you’re having a wonderful time… BUT…. I sure wish you’d hurry back!! I need your updates!!!! I’m missing you!!!! Hi Meg, I love your green in your foyer. Is it acually pea soup? Thank you for leading me to Laura at Piece of Cake’s blog. I too was thinking of giving up blogging for Lent. Her post described exactly what I was thinking. have a great time! Kelly Meg, you made me a rock star. Honestly, I am so in love with your blog that YOUR comment alone on my post made my day! And now THIS?? Oh Meg! I just love ya! Have a GREAT trip. I can’t wait to see all the fabulous pictures in store for all of us 🙂 You are right, Laura summed up the reasons I blog so eloquently 🙂 It’s just so nice to know that moms (and dads too) across this great planet all struggle with some of the same simple and not so simple issues just like me…on a daily basis 🙂 Oh yea, and tell Craig thanks from all of us blogging friends…for your internet service 🙂 YIPPEEEEE!!! Hi! I have fallen in LOVE with your blog and have a totally random question. Where did you get the name Talby from? Is it short for something? I love that name and have never heard it before. Just wondering…thanks. Your photography is simply beautiful…what a fantastic way to record your family’s history. Lovely site and clearly a lovely family. 🙂 happy vacation to you!!! the post about the blogging? i heart it…it is so true. nothing like a little jack black to make you smile….can’t wait to read a vacation update! 🙂 have a lovely trip and take photos… the walk photos were CINEMATIC. Really beautiful and so much more. Thanks so much I’ve seen the worlds largest ball of twine. It’s big alright. I even know someone that peed on it once. ick Love Jack Black!!! Have a great trip! We have a test to new visitors to our house. We put on Nacho Libre and see if they “get it” or not. It’s a good way to measure someone’s sense of humor! I’ve been meaning to email you and tell you I LOVE Graham and Henry’s G and H shirts! Super cute! I’ll let you know how they wash. Have a great time on your trip. Have a great time on your trip. Have a great spring break. In Ohio ours is not until April 6th. Wish I could attend the concert!!! Have fun! Love ya Meg! Have a great time…take lots of pictures for us. All us other bloggers are nosy and want to see every ounce of your trip! we are headed out of town for spring break. which requires so much work on my part…washing, packing, planning, last minute things.
but it will be worth it.
right?
it will won't it?
i am feeling doubtful at this moment.
i have no time to be blogging.
so i will leave you with this picture.
it keeps popping up on my computer in a Netflix ad.
and it cracks me up every time.
that belly is hilarious.
i didn't see the movie…this picture is enough for me.
back to the LONG list.
i hope i will be able to peek in here while we are gone.
i really hope.

Hope you have a great spring break! you must see the movie! “stretchy pants” are great! I HATE the LONG LIST of things to do just to get a BREAK. Hope you have a great time. By the way my kids love that movie. They know all the lines to it. It’s worth watching at least once. Jack Black was so funny in this movie….Have a great vacation! Dont’ forget your camera! Nacho Libre is Awesome. Packing is a neccessary evil- Have fun. I always need a vacation after my vacation. Maybe that’s why we never go anywhere. 🙂 And I haven’t Nacho Libre either, but my husband has. And from what I can tell, the picture pretty much says it all. Have a great spring break! nacho libre rocks! Please, if you think Jack Black is remotely entertaining, see this movie, preferably with someone equally as silly as you are (wait, that was me). A ridiculous, but so-funny-you-might-wet-your-pants movie. Especially with a silly friend. You need to watch it!!! hahaha This movie is classified in the “sodumbitsfunny” catagory. Have fun — I’ll miss your posts :)! Oh Meg! We could never forget you!!! Didn’t see the movie either…but yep, agreed…the picture is good enough for me 😉 I hope you and family have a great trip! Have lots of fun 🙂 Have fun! Sounds wonderful! I can’t wait to hear about all the humorous moments and see some of your fabulous photography from the getaway. I will miss your posts and inspiration 🙂 We’ll miss you in blogland! you’re so cute meg…there’s no doubt in my mind that you will not be forgotten…missed but not forgotten! xo oooohhh!!! i hope you have a grand time!!! since c is gone we have to delay our spring break trip…but i am out of my mind excited…disney is offering military amazing deals this year so we are taking the ladies to disneyworld next month!! i’ve never been so i am definitely looking forward to experiencing it with fresh eyes with them…. Have a good time on your spring break. I haven’t posted in a long time because I have been so busy but I still check your blog everytime you update. I have missed you:) oh, Jack Black. seeing a photo of him without the costume on is funny. haha. You MUST see this movie. It’s hilarious. Nacho Libre is my sons newest ‘superhero’. We even had a Nacho Libre Birthday Party for him. He got the entire costume handmade by his grandma. You can see it here: Have fun! hilarious…and i have that same tummy. have fun. Never will I forget you!! I found your website through the Cora website and I have really enjoyed it. You seem to be so thoughtful and caring to Coras family. I use to live in Newton so it was fun to look at the pics of your house. My mom still lives there so I visit alot-I am trying to figure out where your house is. I am in Arkansas and I live in a house built in 1900. I was wondering if you painted your woodwork or if it was already painted when you moved in. I love old houses. Well keep up the good work with ideas for Coras playground. Your great and you sure motivate me. How fabulous! This is so inspiring to see the goodness go on and on! You are awesome. well, if i didn’t live halfway across the country, i’d totally be there! i do feel really good that my husband has raised nearly $1400 for pediatric cancer research. he shaves his head tonight. we have listed cora as an honored child. darn darn, i wish i lived closer, because i would so be there. My first visit to your blog! I love the photos of your home. Reminds me how much I love colour! Thanks for sharing. Becki I wish I could be there!!! Oh, how awesome!! Wish we could be there 🙂 I love how the community is continuing to support the Macs! God is awesome! I would be there if I could! I am thinking about having a little fundraiser here, in L.A. I have my own small cake business, and thought it might be nice to have CAKES FOR CORA…a month dedicated to the playground, where all proceeds made will go directly to Jess and Joel. Wish I had done it this month, the month of her first birthday…but better late than never. I will keep everyone posted…. Thanks Meg! how neat is that!!! wish i could come 🙂 more goodness… what love… what a group of people… what a blessing we have in our Father!!!!! oh yeah, do you know how late they are open on Friday? Megan, Do you know where we can get that flyer? that is so awesome! i am still loving every single second of it! i did a giveaway yesterday with some coffee cozies from cora’s playground etsy dealy…great stuff! great, great stuff!!! How fabulous!!! I wish I lived closer! PS. Julie is on the front page on Etsy right now with one of her shirts for Cora. How awesome is that! It’s wonderful to see the love and compassion in your community! newton? my mother and father and law live in newton!! (ill have to send them in my place teehee) where is this? Newton, as in Kansas? It is so wonderful how people are coming together for this cause. I took part in the etsy fundraising and it was amazing to see how mnay people joined in! I have a question for you. I made a flower shirt like you make for my neice and it was too small, now I’m stuck with it. Would you mind if I listed it on my etsy page? my friend amanda organized a very cool event to raise money for joel and jess. it was called Jewels for Cora.
she used her premiere jewelry business to bring women together from our church and community
that all love the mcclenahan's.
all of amanda's profits went straight to joel and jess.
so….we had a jewelry party….but it was much much more.
we were blessed to hear stories of jess and joel before cora came in to their life.
i didn't know them then so this was very touching.
and hopeful.
to hear some stories of their dating and early marriage…
that joel is funny and jess is a wonderful wife.
i cried…
then we heard of the excitement of when cora was coming
and the fun that was had over the 11 months of her life.
i loved hearing those stories.
10 women read 10 different comments recently left on the macs blog that talked of their strong faith
and how cora is changing lives all over the world.
it was comforting to be in room full of women who all had the same heart for cora's parents….
broken….wishing it hadn't happened.
after the stories, we had a jewelry show….with models.
oh yes…I GOT TO BE MODEL!
i think i was "the old lady model" but that's ok…i had on cute jewelry. :)
(no photo…but it's the truth…i promise)
after the show it was time to shop.
i am looking forward to wearing my necklace.
(i got that turquoise one right in the middle of that table above.)
each time i put it on will be a beautiful reminder to pray for jess and joel.
amanda….great job pulling this night together.
i know you had tons of help but you got this all going and kept it so organized.
it was lovely.
you made it so special.
Will Amanda let us place online orders to add to the jewels for Cora party? I am so jealous of you and all of your very cool women friends! Who knew Kansas was so cool?! (don’t take that the wrong way) 🙂 a place bursting with beautiful women inside & out! you live in such an amazing place how could you have had any idea that you would be moving to such a community ?? Awesome! What a wonderful idea. You all did a great thing by getting together and doing this. Thank you for sharing. what a special event. how fun to be a jewelry mode. you wouldn’t have been the old lady model – crazy girl!! Thank you for sharing this event. Your photos captured the loving spiritof comfort that was obviously present. What a wonderful idea and thanks for sharing. Its amazing what God’s people can do when we do what he wants..live in community and love each other. Thanks for the encouragement. What a lovely testimony!!! What a wonderful event. What wonderful friends! My family is continually praying for baby Cora’s family. How wonderful….this family I am sure is blessed by everything. That was such a wonderful idea! The story of Cora has touched me so deeply and I think and pray for her family everyday. I love reading your blog! You are such a wonderful and inspiring woman! Thank you for everything you do on your blog! It was a very nice evening. And I’m pretty sure you weren’t the ‘old’ model. I don’t think we are that far in age. What a fantastic idea! It sounds like you live an in amazing community! Thanks for sharing. I am always curious about how these things unfold when I read about them happening, and as usual, like with the etsy shop, your community is amazing. There is such love for Joel and Jess and it makes me feel less anxious for them. They will get through this with people like you surrounding them. It is still horrible and awful and I can’t imagine the pain, but they will get through it in time and with much love around them. beautiful. Thank you SO much for posting about this. I have been pacing the floors up here in Canada wondering and waiting…for what? I’m not sure…But after buying some pinafores on etsy to help raise money for the playground, then your announcement of the staggering sum raised, there has been a sense of void, almost disappointment that the collective effort did not restore sweet Cora to her parents’ arms. my heart is deeply touched by the kindness, and strength of your community. it’s beautiful. Meg Each and every time I read your posts about events like this I am in complete awe over the women you know. How on earth did you get such an amazing circle of friends? You are truly, truly blessed. such a beautiful tribute…. that was amazing. what a sweet thing for the community to pull together for this family. oh my goodness…what a great evening. it was honoring to joel, jess and cora and fun too…then there’s the fundraising! great idea. i love how many creative and heart warming things are continuing in honor of a great fam. what a beautiful story. Hello! I found your blog through Julie at Joyshope. Your photos are amazing and your pillows are adorable! I too, have been touched by Cora’s story even though I am all the way in California. I bought a bracelet from the etsy site and think of little Cora every time I wear it. This event looks amazing – wish I could have been there! Things like this remind of how genuinely good people are. Out of tragedy, people are bonding, growing stronger, finding a new and refreshed love for those close to them. I must think God intends for us to do this. I thought it was amazing how help from blogland supported the Nie Nie Dialogues author. And now this is the next most amazing work God has blessed with via blogging and the internet. Praise Him! I cry with emotion love and gratitude each time I read about sweet baby Cora and all the love going into her memory. It really is witnessing, isn’t it? What a wonderful thing everyone is doing for this family. |

Jamie - Can you give me the scoop on your photography? I’m a local wanting to get pictures done. Thanks!
Sandy - I’m with Trish – when I received an e-mail from you I felt like a celebrity was e-mailing me! Well, actually, she was. Thanks for being YOU and for being who you are!
I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this before, but I have dreams about you and your family. Sunday night it was so clear and vivid and your husband, kids, everyone looked just like they really do. You looked a little different because your hair was a little lighter (light brown) than it is in your pictures. But, your house was the same…it was so cool to visit with you and your family. 🙂 ha ha I remember I kept thinking to myself, ‘how on earth does she do all that she does and with a large family her house stays so put together’?! I know you have the laundry piles, etc, but still your house is incredibly cool (in and out of my dreams!)! Your family was very friendly and welcoming in my dream 🙂 I didn’t get to meet Lauren though, she was out with friends (or maybe she was playing find the teenager, I’m not sure) 🙂
Sandy
