it was so good.
the wedding and reception were so beautiful.
it started out hot…so sweaty! but the sun went down and it was the perfect night.
i saw so many high school friends i haven’t seen for many many years.
i laughed and laughed.
it felt so good.
i cracked up that all my memories of parties and things way back when contained many embarassing things about myself that i chose to forget i guess! lots of laughing over that. how many times did i hear “you don’t remember that?!” involving something so dumb that i did!
i just loved seeing everybody.
i love to see everyone grown up…and some married…with babies…
i am so happy that we aren’t the same people we were then…mostly. 🙂
i was so glad my sister was there too.
and our parents and their best friends too.
this reception was beautiful with such a classic style…white tent…lush green grass…sunset…delicious food.
amazing.
my husband had to drag my sister and i out at midnight.
i didn’t want that fun to end.
i wish adam and ashley all the best!
i will share more pictures when my sister and mom and mom’s friends email me some.
mine are not that good. of course now i totally regret not taking pictures of everyone.
for now i will just show a photo of my favorite shoes that i got to wear.
Category Archives: Uncategorizedthere is nothing more refreshing than to wake up to a upstairs bathroom floor covered in water and your dining room below…table included…also covered in toilet water. ahhhhh….so lovely. and with company here too. it just doesn’t get better than that right? the good stuff. we shut off the water and headed out to party! my sister and i took the kids to the zoo summer concert. craig met us after work and my mom did too. chubby carrier and the bayou swamp band plays louisana zydeco music that is just too much fun. he calls himself the father of fun! it was a blast. we took blankets and snacks. talby shouted “i like this music! i LIKE dancing!” and she danced almost all night. it was hot and everyone was all sweaty but we didn’t care. what’s not to like? it feels too good. lauren took the pictures of us dancing! so technically she stepped on the dance floor but there was no dancing on her part. It’s all about the angles of photography! there are plenty of things in my house that are not so nice…but with the right cropping..they disappear! Been to your blog MANY times but for some reason I just noticed that you had TONS of pictures of you GORGEOUS home!! It is so nice that you know what to do with that gorgeous masterpiece of a home! I know a couple people who have homes similar to yours and have NO IDEA what to do with them. I also painted my master bedroom choc. brown but was struggling with a really great accent color… You have inspired me to just add WHITE. I love that look and I already have lots of white furniture since I have a pretty shabby chic decor in most the house. Love all your white furniture, your red dish collection (HOW FUN IS THAT?) …actually there was nothing in your house I didnt like….I even think you could make the blue wallpaper in the playroom work… lol…. Thanks for sharing!!!! Looks like SO much FUN!! In the end it isnt even about the dancing but just “family time”…you create that OFTEN and that is SO cool! So sorry to hear about the plumbing issue :(…but HEY, at least it was clean water!!!! it’s official…i miss him. my mom was here for a short overnight visit. in the spirit of keepin’ it real i thought i’d share a picture of what happens when i cook. my mom distracted my kids today with washing the truck while i got started on this! i got the ground pretty level and we laid out the liner. my mom went to her friend’s house and i put annie down for a nap. talby, sean and i sat outside and put the entire pool together our selves. they were big helpers…honest. they got the pegs ready and handed them to me. they put the feet on the legs…ran the pipe through the top…helped me build the ladder…they cleaned up the trash. then my sister arrived with my 2 nieces for the rest of the weekend. Hey, I found your blog through the creative blogs blog. I have been frequenting it. Usually I am nursing my baby when I catch up on blogs so it is kinda hard to leave a comment…anyways, love your house and your craft room. you go, girl. love the picture with Scott. was that taken at church? LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the picture of you and your son!!! That picture needs to be enlarged, framed and put somewhere important in your home!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the picture of you and your son!!! That picture needs to be enlarged, framed and put somewhere important in your home!! it’s amazing what a good night’s sleep will do. today is a better day. i am feeing very in love with mr. duerksen today. speaking of green…he painted the walls in the foyer! they are a lovely green…pea soup-ish. love it. and he is an awesome painter. perfect. he won’t even let me help anymore…i’m not heplful. my sister and my 2 nieces are coming tomorrow. and my mom sometime this week. THANK YOU for sending me your blog address again!!! Love the fact you let your kids play with playdo…that may sound strange but I have been a preschool teacher for years and there are MANY parents who dont want playdo or paint in their homes (too messy I guess). Glad your not one of them 🙂 Loving your blog, it makes me want to be a better mother. I need all of that I can get during the summer! Can’t wait to make the blueberry buckle. YUM! i can’t imagine you yelling…i can imagine you giving your kids a table full of playdoh and candles…summer is the hardest time of year for me…tension runs too high…grrrrrrrr. every wife needs a jack campbell. i love him. (jack, not craig.) at our house…holidays are downplayed. i will get the frame made soon. for father’s day we had 2 kids gone all day. OMGOSH…what fabulous pictures!!!! Your a talented photograher! love the one of Lauren and Annie! very sweet! Your children are just delicious Meg! Great photography. beautiful!!! i want to try a feet shot of my kids…i love it. my girls play babies all the time but this week talby was being so cute. in the yucky dining room we have misc. furniture serving no purpose at the moment. i came in and saw this! the empty armoire is now a triple bunk bed for babies (and bears) That was soooooo me as a little girl!! I also played for hours interdependently with my baby dolls. I would pretend to drive around with my babies too. No wonder I now work as an infant teacher at a preschool. I still love the babies! <3 by the way, if you ever can’t find a purpose for that armoir, i think i could….hee hee hee. : ) what a total cutie!! I have 2 little girls who do the mommy thing all the time and it is A WHOLE lot of fun to watch…especially when they discipline the dolls..lol YES YES YES!!!!!!! i have realized after talking to many moms this week… my friend Kristin called us to meet at the sprinkler park. we thought scott looked like Uncle Leo from the seindfeld episode where his eyebrows are drawn on his face. love seinfeld. just getting started…trying to write on each other silly things. scott is trying to write “punch me”upside down and backwards on himself. sean only wanted tiger stripes on his cheeks like micah and that was it…don’t write on sean! now they were almost covered. i like talby’s little back “i’m cool” she was proud of that. scott’s showing his KU of course. isnt’ micah just the cutest kid? those big eyes! he was so giggly. the sweetest thing….eliza and annie made a bed in the playground with a pretend campfire all cozy. ****Hey thanks for the comments you sent me! new york..florida..kansas…a little bit of everywhere. please keep it up! it made my day to read you notes! but 80 people didn’t comment! so come on…say HI! AND one more thing…the exterminator stopped by yesterday. Yes – THE exterminator that asked when my due date was. (i am not pregnant) and i let him in and the first thing he said “You sure look nice today!” he is so feeling sooooo guilty. he should. mnzybnfhevfsltfo, How much valium for dentist appointment, xkIgeQe, [url=http://www.latitudescoach.com/library/%5DWill xanax and valium show up different on piss test[/url], STNRCSM, http://www.latitudescoach.com/library/ Generic valium, DpbmpZe. Don’t worry — cooking is easy, and this post is here to show you how! Read on to find out very simple suggestions to assist you cook better! I was referred here by Kristin. Great photos! just so you know we love that campfire and we’re glad it’s not real because annie’s toes would be burnt. hey – your blueberry receipe – do you think it would taste good if you substituted chocolate chips for the blueberries? oh, the pictures capture the fun of it wonderfully…i giggle every time i look at uncle leo scott…you know, when a child can be so joyful and enthusiastic and friendly, there has to be some let down…it sounds like his temper tantrum was as big as his joy was…sure not as easy to be around, though…i KNOW that. Ok…you live in a small town and you have a “sprinkler park” ..I live in the subs of a big city and have never heard of a sprinkler park but it sounds like SOOOO much fun!!! It DOES take time to adjust to having our kids full time and wanting to make them happy with special events but isnt it sooooo much fun? I know sometimes we plan things and I think it is SOOO much trouble to even get where we are going (i only have 3 kids) but once we are there and they are having fun it is SO worth it!! Love the fact you blog daily!!! You need a pic of your husband on there somewhere though 🙂 |
