i was on the look out for flats.
it's getting too chilly for the flip flops i have been sporting for 4 months straight.
i went to all the places i usually go….no shoes to be found…that i liked.
there are definitely plenty of ugly shoes out there.
i was walking through the mall and saw Payless...started to walk past but thought to give it one more try.
the last three times i have gone in there it was just a bunch of nothing!
15 minutes later….
i found what i was looking for.
score.
my day was made.

vonda - I have such a hard time letting the flip flops go too. I usually go from flip flops to some sort of ugg boot. You have excellent taste in shoes and you always make me smile, even though life can sometimes be very hard. If I only have time for one blog in the morning it is definitely yours.

patti - i couldn’t agree more…and this is why i was so heart-broken when my boots got delivered from old navy today and they look hideous on me! i’m not tall enough and they are hitting me in a bad spot. even my 5 year old told me she thought the boots would look better on someone else. 🙁

Heather - i love the ones you picked up. i heart shoes too and am desperate for some new ones. through each pregnancy my feet grew a little and now i’m having the hardest time finding shoes that fit by big old feet, but you just reminded me that payless carries big foot sized shoes so there’s still hope for me. 🙂 i think a trip to the mall is in the cards for us today. i love those gray ones!

Tracy - Love the shoes! I just went to Payless last weekend to get my daughter some shoes…we walked out with matching Ugg style boots (for a lot cheaper) and I got the cutest pair of plaid flats with a ruffle! Plus we scored on BOGO…not bad.

If you have a Sears near you, I usually can find some cute shoes there too…I have great luck getting funky heels on sale there all the time.
