poor waffle.
driving 5 kid & a big nervous dog to school in our horrible school traffic while listening to the Annie
soundtrack is kind of like driving to a bus to CrAzyViLle.
oh my goodness.
it felt a bit like Sixteen Candles….
all we needed was kazoos.
i am full of randomness this morning.
check out this little goofball.
my sweet silly girl.
man i miss having that color hair.
when i was little i looked exactly like this…isn't that right mom?
she is Mini-Me.
i really miss my naturally blond hair.
forgot to show this last week…
twinsies!
micah shared his extra tigger costume with annie for preschool!
it was big time excitement around here.
ms. kristin made pumpkin pie playdoh.
it smelled exactly like pumpkin. it uses an entire container of pumpkin pie spice!
it was so cool. it tastes terrible…because it's playdoh.
i am sure many kids tried it just in case.
they pretended to make muffins and cookies. it's so much fun in there!
big plans for today:
cutting out a bunch of paper turkeys for my 3 year old sunday schoolers
having coffee with a friend.
sewing another curtain.
cleaning up my kitchen (how does it get so gross so fast?)
and sorting all the laundry i folded.
watching some DVR-ed shows (i am 3 weeks behind on 3 shows!)
many of you asked about the chandelier in the girls' room.
it's from IKEA.
you can find it here but it's not available online.
you have to get a cord kit also….super duper cheap.
i love this lamp.
oh how i miss IKEA.
i wish i could walk through an IKEA today with naturally blond hair.
HA.
happy friday.
sean’s 8th birthday was success!
after VBS (where he didn’t want to go but managed to have a great time)
we picked up 3 of his friends for a 2:00 showing of Kung Fu Panda.
funny movie.
(does anyone else sit in cartoon movies just concentrating on whose voice it is?
i really like to do that.
and so proud of myself when i figure it out…i am a dork.)
we were the only ones in the theater.
oh, except for my mother-in-law who came seperately with my other kids.
sean said “they aren’t allowed to sit by us”
but once it was just us…we all sat together.
we didn’t expect to walk in and have the whole theater just for sean’s birthday!
pretty cool.
after the movie…at sean’s request…we went to subway.
craig took him here on their ski trip and he loved it.
meatball sub on wheat.
i have lived here over 3 years and have never been into subway?
weird.
and we were the only people here too.
it was adorable (he’d hate that word) watching these boys read the menu board
trying to decide what they wanted without their moms.
cheetos…coke…cookies.
of course.
time for presents.
KU hats, legos, transformers and singng birthday cards with the star wars theme song.
he was so happy…truly happy.
sean’s buddies.
he is the old man of the group.
the party ended there
and started again at home after dinner.
california family is in town and got to celebrate with us!
almost every year we have this photo…
sean hiding while everyone sings happy birthday to him.
he’ll outgrow it someday i am sure of it.
a hulk mask that lights up, legos, golf balls, cash and his own set of golf clubs.
that’s a pretty good birthday.
he sat down right way to begin building his legos.
his brain is MADE for legos.
i love that all my kids are so different.
i’m sure yours are too but it is just so cool to think about.
i really enjoyed my time with sean today.
he is a special blessing to me.
happy happy birthday sean.
the craft room (soon-to-be-bathroom) has this little window and the same shot today and a new closet is framed out and there is a wall between the bathroom and craft room… it’s moving right along. happy birthday to you! oh how i miss you. so i was thinking of you as i went through my pictures unflavored (blech) alot. who wouldn’t? mmmmm….pie. i knew it would make you laugh. burning hot right out of the oven. even if i don’t…”Knowing God” is HARD lisa!!! and these guys… i do too. what a lucky guy he is. but you like butter more… me too. especially with sugar. as much as the next person does. did you ever think you’d like holding a pig? so handsome in that photo. the laziest cat in history. and no treadmills. we finally saw santa. this is talby’s face she makes when she is nervous… annie was keeping close eye on that grinch. just as i was about to get the perfect shot… upstairs on their way to craig’s office then some time to play on daddy’s marker board. then we went to the carwash. seriously…this was the highlight of their week! much better. i got lauren enrolled in school…finally. i managed to get annie to play “sprinklro-ene” for almost an hour today. inside for a much needed wake up snack. then an impromptu haircut on the porch. so i chopped a bunch off. then she was rewarded for sitting still (sort of) with m&m’s. then she shoved the whole handful in her mouth. we ate a dinner of noodles and grilled cheese now it’s lauren’s bedtime so i am off to the craft room to start scrappin’. This Friday was all about relaxing. |
