Category Archives: things i love

this week

i have been attempting to write this post for over a week but my computer is being dumb.
there seems to be a window right now where it’s working so i write.  🙂

my mind has been consumed with thoughts and planning for Camp CREATE coming up next week.
and shopping for it.
and prepping for it.
all while being a mom and that kind of stuff.
so… here are a bunch of phone pics of things that are going on recently.

IMG_2729
best shirt ever    (from hello apparel)

IMG_2876
i finally put up the cow bust that was my grandma’s.
it hung on the side of her sink and she used it as a towel holder for as long as i can remember.
i always loved it.
and i was so happy to have it for my home.

IMG_2973
working from home… a project that will come out in september.
IMG_3119
annie’s first spring break.

IMG_3001IMG_3071
we went to a Rend Collective concert.
have you heard of them?
we listen to them allllllll the time with our kids and some of the songs are sung at our church too.
my Rend Collective pandora station is one of my most favorites.
in this picture… i was watching the lighted beach balls that were bouncing around the crowd and never even saw that they put panda heads on.  HA!
i was looking through the photos and asked “what in the world?” to talby & annie and they said “yeah… they did that for a long time mom”
oh.
i guess i was distracted.
so funny.

IMG_3160
still trying to eat healthy.
a battle i feel i may never win because – cookies.
IMG_3224
H.O.R.S.E. in the driveway.

IMG_3254
spring break dinner out that just happened to be on St. Patricks Day which made for a lively crowd. (aka: drunk)

IMG_3707
saturdays with no sports or major events are my faaaaaaavorite.
and the dogs like it too.
ha!
they get so many more opportunities to make me spill my coffee.
IMG_3716
IMG_3743
my friend Jenny sent me this ADORABLE wood sign for my house!
and i found a spot right away so i could see it everyday!
she has so many cute handmade signs in her shop.
i love every. single. one!
IMG_3766IMG_3807
this was Easter morning.
WHAT?
we haven’t had snow in two years in our area of kansas.
and on Easter sunday annie came in our room and shouted “IT SNOWED A TON!???!” and threw open our curtains.
we were shocked!

IMG_3828
FullSizeRender 5
FullSizeRender 7FullSizeRender 8
it was so bizarre to have all that snow!

IMG_3888
this was the most i did for Easter for my kids… everyone got a small chocolate bunny.

IMG_3862
IMG_3890
i have been “collecting” random pretty state or flower plates for a few years for maybe someday doing a big mosaic project.
but recently i was thinking of getting new dishes at home but dreading spending money on dishes that would inevidentally end up broken since the kids do all the dishes at our house… pro/con.
i realized i had tons of these dishes… they are fun to look at….they are unique… they cost .50 – $1.00 at our thrift store… i could just use these as our plates instead of buying a new set of fancy dishes.
It’s more my style anyway… eclectically unique/colorful/vintage/modern twist.
so now they are our everyday plates!
and i love them!
IMG_3989IMG_3987
camp prep – making name tags.
making projects.
IMG_4009IMG_4013IMG_3578
planning for camp looks a lot like this.
at several different stores.

IMG_4017IMG_4020
and at camp since we are together for several days we give everyone their own cup.
it helps keep track of which drink is which, cuts down on dishes and it’s cute!
lots of people asked on Instagram where i got them… you can find them RIGHT HERE.

IMG_3657
the same grandma that had the cow in her kitchen also used the phrase “happy plate” when we were good eaters and could have dessert.
and let me tell you… i was a really picky eater and they ate weird stuff.
i challenged the happy plate at every meal.
but i loved her tapioca pudding and usually ate enough to get it.
so i saw this plate in OKC and loved the memories it brought up.
and bought one for me and one my sister too.
FullSizeRender 4
marshalls and tjmaxx are my weakness.
i love finding stuff there!
like this rug… i have even brought it up to the register but haven’t bought it… yet.
it’s just so darn cheery!

IMG_3611
my mom found me this awesome tank on Zulily.
could it be any more perfect for me?!

IMG_4027IMG_4094
all that snow melted immediately… like by 5:00 it was GONE.
and spring is definitely here in kansas.
my chickens are loving the nice weather.
as much as i can assume a chicken loves anything.

IMG_4315IMG_4121
i found some fun stuff while thrifting the other day.
i don’t love green glass but i love when i find something unique and that water jar was just that.
but really i just love thrifting in general.
and the flowers were from Dillons.
because it’s a nice addition to any friday.

IMG_4084
scott went on a college visit last week (HOW?!) and these clouds were on my drive home.
deep blue and moving so fast.
i tried not think of them as some kind of metaphor for this new stage of life with my oldest son….
IMG_4147
we got our baby fix holding craig’s cousin’s baby on friday night.
he was dreamy… never made a peep.

IMG_4145
and my last pic for today… this was the scene i walked into after my house had been cleaned.
it’s all so C L E A N!!!
i smiled for an hour!
i have lots more i want to share but who knows what my computer will do the next week.
and camp starts in three days!
there is laundry to wash, beds to make, art supplies to organize, margaritas to make!
it’s going to be a very good week!

Mindy - Love Rend Collective and can only imagine the energy live and in person! I love Marshall’s and TJ Maax as well – you never know what you might find there. And your tulips – lovely.

Candice - Love your photos! Can you share your source for printing on canvas? Thank you!

beth larson - I loved this post Meg…all the great pictures etc… (my your kiddos seem to be growing in leaps in the last few months). I especially love the last pic of the cute pups in your sparkly clean house! Happy Friday,
beth

Lisa - Oh that picture of you and Annie! Be still my heart!

Jenn - so your rend collective picture…….well first love the panda heads. great…..but second the girl in the picture (her profile) looks like drew berrymore

Lindsey - Love everything about this post!

angela F Conklin - Ok, so i can’t stand it when people say *where did you get that?* and *what color is that?* BUT…………..
Lipstick color in 1st pic please!
AND
tell me about your counter tops. Granite? Marble? Quartz? Color? Make?

Angela conoil@yahoo.com

cornelia krahn - I have 20 of those state plates and I’m moving so I can’t keep them. I’d like to give them to you for all the joy you’ve brought to my life. I live in Wisconsin but will be in Newton this Thursday-Sat. Are you interested?

DLG in Mich - I bought two of those rugs at Marshall’s for the same reason – they make me happy. I got orange and teal and while they make me smile, they don’t wash up so well. The colored ‘ribbons’ come un-tucked from the tan body of the rug, if that makes sense.

Melanie Sidwell - Ooooh you know CU-Boulder is a great college town 🙂 just sayin! Also – I have collected about six of those green glass water jars (found one even with the original yellow lid). I love them and haven’t found any for a few years so I’m quite tickled you found one. I found four at a small town Nebraska thrift store, and two in different stores in Colorado. Coveting yours!

Melissa - “because cookies”… story of my life.

Rebekah Wales - That rainbow hello t-shirt is THE BEST!

Jennifer - Great post! Yes, next week is definitely going to great ;)!

Heather - Love that cow, I have the exact same one hanging beside my sink! Found it at an antique shop for $7 and felt like I won the lottery! Your pictures are always so bright and cheery, love checking in on your blog just to see all of the fun pics. 🙂

Debi meyers - Hey meg.
Pretty lipstick in photo #1!

Since I’m older than you but not as old as your grand mom, as a teen in the 70s in the Midwest I bought a similar white ceramic head to hang my bathroom towel. Not a cow, but another barn animal … Pig? Duck? don’t remember. Has same eyes. I guess they were a thing.

I collect vintage souvenir plates too. Many often have a sticker saying “not food-safe” … And often the original stickers are gone. You don’t want to be eating off a lead-based paint.

Carry on ….

Traci - I love that cute cow! Also, I feel that you are my soul sister in a lot of ways. Lover of color, lots of creative endeavors. I enjoy seeing what you write about here. Carry on and here’s to a happy and creative week!

pretty eggs, pretty flowers & pretty mugs!

THIS IS CRAZY!!!!
your kids will flip out!
i hope you try this and that i have the energy to try it as well.
let’s be honest… i hope i even get the regular dyed eggs done.

SUPERskinnysideways

i seriously love this wallpaper at Anthropologie!
it’s quite wild but there is nothing wrong with that.

i love how Haneen styled it in her dining room!  (go check out her whole post)
FullSizeRender-2619bb52_8441cfe7e8e042c28164cb4e37697b92.jpg
19bb52_8fb609c7e8bb40d3a90fb9f92ef670e4
i would probably do the opposite and put the wallpaper with all white but that doesn’t mean i don’t love what she did too.
i love the color blast it gives!
i especially love that big red flower!

SUPERskinnysideways

and then look at this fun craft project?!!
this is so cool!
i know two girls at my house that would loooove to try this out!
and we have about at least 54 bottles of nail polish at our disposal so i think we will!

(the sound is gone on this video but you can click over to the original source to hear the video with music)

Aimee - Doing the eggs! Just went by Goodwill and picked up four decent ties for 50 cents each 🙂

Kris Gilbert - We DID make those silk tie eggs several years back and they did turn out well although we didn’t know about the step of wrapping the tie with string prior to wrapping it in the white cotton. Makes total sense to secure the tie closer to the egg. As a result, some of our prints are a bit muddled, but the fact that we got ANYTHING out of it was so exciting. This year, my guys are all out of the nest but I’m STILL going to do this! Thanks for sharing!

Sharon / tpt - Okay. Those mugs?! Major artist work! I could see a whole table of those displayed at a fancy Santa Barbara art show stroll!
….also…yes… #anthropologyRocks

Jennifer Greeley - Those eggs! That’s crazy awesome. Like you, I’ll be lucky to get anything dyed. Love the mug tutorial. That is so easy!

Jennifer - So lovely!

holy cow.
i was really hungry for grilled cheese after that 20 minutes of texting.
ha ha ha!

SUPERskinnysideways

and last thing on this monday… i am LOVING the monthly subscription from Paper Works by Jones Design Co!
it’s so pretty!
each month’s design is different.
last month’s was flowery beauty and this month’s is all FUN!
i mean – it’s RAINBOW-TIZED!
what is better than that???
🙂

IMG_2920IMG_2938ok so… my friends laughed at me and i know you will too but… for the FIRST time –
i made a weekly meal plan WITH a detailed grocery list AND i used it.
and i bought no other groceries!
i just used my list!
i told my friends afterwards “it’s crazy that I’ve never done that before!  i feel so organized and accomplished!”
i am sure most of you already do that.
and you are shaking your heads.
but i am also sure that at least one of you does her grocery shopping the way i have been fro the past 20 years… winging it.
and it’s obviously been sufficient since no one in my family has starved – yet.
but it was also not efficient and caused frustration when i constantly forgot things.
and having a PLAN means less stress every day because i have planned what we were eating that night.
it’s mind blowing!
(i know i know – stop laughing! ha ha ha)

SO… i have to give credit to this pretty package that arrives every month.
it is changing my disorganized self in all the best ways.
i repeated that grocery list/meal plan 3 weeks in a row.
i am hooked!

IMG_2939the monthly kits are sold in different levels where you can print it yourself, enjoy it digitally or have it all printed & sent to you in the mail.
you can figure out which plan works best for you.

IMG_2943this print!
the perfect green and super cute!
and i really enjoy having the bible verse cards!
they are great to help with memorizing… to stick in a note to a friend… a kiddo’s lunch box!

IMG_2946CLICK HERE for the shop with $5.00 off your subscription to Paper Works!

and enjoy all the fun ways you can organize your day!

molly - oh my goodness. laughed until i was crying tears to the grilled cheese text exchange. my oldest is the same age as annie. this is so something she would do. so hilarious.

sharon / tpt - holy triple cow! the grilled cheese presentation! laughed so hard. listen, you gotta start at the beginning with grilled cheese i guess, right? until you become a ‘pro!’ –where did i read recently (it was a singer or something? someone famous?) someone in the south made them a grilled cheese with mayo instead of butter! wow! (don’t tell Annie yet … it will just confuse her, lol!)

~i will be one of those Shannon book readers. i want to be like her when i grow up~

Amy - LOVE the grilled cheese conversation!!! <3 <3

elma - Oh my word I loved the grilled cheese!! That was just awesome!!!

Kerri - My favorite part is when you tell her to try and if she messes up it will still be ok. 🙂

Jenny B. - That conversation was hilarious. I love the clapping hands and celebration emoticons. You are such a good mom. 🙂

Jessica - Loved reading your grilled cheese conversation. You were so patient! I remember calling my mom the first time I made an egg.

Lisa - You were way more patient than I would have been texting through all that with your daughter! Haha!

Also going to look into that book. I follow her on instagram. 🙂

Kristin S - Oh my word. That grilled cheese text series is hilarious!

A few years ago one of my co-workers (single guy in his late 20’s at the time) called his mom from the grocery store looking for “cupcake mix”. Cupcake mix. He had no idea that cake mixes would work for cupcakes. Bless.

phyllis - Oh gosh it feels good to laugh!! That was priceless!

Patty - That was the most hysterical – typical teenager – parent – text exchange. OMGoodness I laughed SO hard while reading that!!

Andrea - I have read your blog for years and years. I’ve read (and reread) every archived post. I’ve cried, laughed, been challenged and encouraged. I’ve learned parenting strategies, read new books, tried new recipes, found new bloggers, and lived vicariously through every craft weekend. I’ve copied your decorating style, your fashion style, your origination tips and lived vicariously through your fitness life :). But despite the dozens of comments I composed in my head none of them have ever made it past my thoughts until today. Oh. My. Goodness! The text between you and Annie was so hilarious I was actually laughing out loud. Having kids of the same age that are old enough to do big things but need specific instructions, this just cracked me up! Thanks so much, I needed that laugh 🙂

Raylene - Thank you for sharing the grilled cheese convo between you and Annie. Hilarious!! It made me laugh out loud. Also made me hungry for grilled cheese!

marnie - i laughed so hard at that.
kid texts are the best.
I add laughing cow cheese to the kids grilled cheese…and now i’m the MASTER grilled cheese maker.

Jeri - Now I am craving grilled cheese…

Rebekah - This is the funniest thing I’ve read in forever!!!!😂😂😂😂

amy jupin - you are such a patient mom!
after a few mins i would have texted back “make a PB&J!”
hahahaaaa!

Debbie H - And THAT is how my kids get to 150 – 200 texts PER DAY. (which drives me crazy). They can be knuckleheads. Ya gotta feel bad for teachers. 🙂 It was very funny though.

Lee Ann - The grilled cheese texts made my day! That was HILARIOUS!!!!

Gabby - Thanks for sharing that hilarious grilled cheese text conversation. I love it!

Rachel - Oh my gosh! I laughed so hard at your grilled cheese text exchange! Describes teens so well. They’re so smart and so dumb at the same time.

Martha - That is way funny about the grilled cheese. My niece wanted to make grilled cheese and her mom told her to butter the bread and she said which side! Love your post they are so real. I’m from Plymouth, In. Close to Goshen

heart day!

according to the united states of america i am supposed to be watching the Super Bowl right now.
but i have been to so many games in the last three days that i could literally NOT care one tiny bit.
i saw that beyonce forgot her pants again this year and that was plenty.
so instead i crawled into my warm cozy bed and wrote a post about Valentine’s gifts.

we don’t celebrate valentine’s too much over here.
we just haven’t ever made it a big deal?  i have no reason for this.
but this year… it’s kind of inched it’s way into my head.
i am thinking about baking cookies and heart garlands and all the valentines-y goodies.
i started making a little list of fun valentine’s gifts or just fun stuff in reds & pinks and the list got out of control!
it’s a long one.
maybe you should show this post to your significant other…    🙂
it couldn’t hurt right?!
i found so much cute stuff out there that would be perfect for gifts!
for friends or family or spouses or boyfriend/girlfriend or your kids or even a gift for yourself!

Whitni - I sent the links for the coloring book and pencils to my husband and said “for my birthday” and I just got an email confirming my order from Amazon haha. I’ve been dying for an adult coloring book ever since they were everywhere at Christmas but I kept telling myself I didn’t have time. I have a 22 month old toddler and a 2.5 week old newborn. But I figure, eventually I will have time to myself again right? Someday? Too bad I can’t color and breastfeed at the same time, I’d rather do that than watch Netflix at 2am!

Lisa - I don’t normally do much for Valentine’s Day but this list was fun to look through! You found some great stuff!

sharon / tpt - major awesome wish list! (i give heart wafflemakers for wedding gifts. it’s da’best!) i’m partial to that double heart necklace. also, add Hope Floats to the must have vDay movies??

(love your blog, as always~)

Morgan - I am a fan of Vday, but more so just in a general sense of letting people know how much they are loved. I do enjoy the decor and baking treats and all that too. 🙂 I love the gift ideas!

Amy - Love this gift list!!

Teyonce - First of all, buy me those shoes..and the mug. The movie list makes me want to stay in my jammies and watch them all right this second. And, I had NO IDEA trivia crack had a board game, my family would love that. I like this list. and you. as more than a friend.

Jodie R. - I am considering the fuji camera–but I have 2 girls…I’m leaning towards having them share…bad idea?

Kari - Ha, ha, ha! Beyonce forgot her pants. I LOVE that. I am about over Beyonce. I love all your picks! But, what I love even more is seeing all the colors shining off my monitor.

Beth Ann - “i saw that beyonce forgot her pants again this year” hahaha – so true! My 8 & 9 year old kiddos were very uncomfortable with beyonce missing her pants and moving the way she did. props to her for her amazing body and the ability to dance the way she can, but not really family friendly. i am glad you called out her missing pants, I thought maybe I was being to big of a prude.

Kathie W. - My husband is a BBQer, smoker and competitor…I got him Aaron Franklin’s book A Meat-Smoking Manifesto for our anniversary (in January) and he is LOVING it…I have yet to be able to enjoying anything from the book, but I know it is coming soon! Great choice.

kristin - Love your blog and all of your suggestions!

CLICK HERE for a code to use when you check out in the shop.

i think you are going to love it as much as i do!

Mindy - I have been following Emily’s blog for a while. Such beautiful prints as well! (And don’t forget the house tour – so cute!)

jen - I’ve ordered prints from her before and but never the monthly kit. This is definitely making me want to give a try.

Julie - I teach at KHS and saw your son at the FBLA district competition on Wednesday. I wanted to go talk to him so badly, but didn’t want to be another person who bothers him because she reads his mom’s blog. It was so funny though…I was walking through our old gym where the teams were hanging out on my way to the new gym where I was passing out tests. He was in the bleachers and looked so much like the pictures you have shared on your blog of him. Just sitting in the stands for his game to begin.

Rebekah - I’ve always wanted to try this and now with the code, I think I will! I love pretty paper goods- so inspiring to be creative!

Kari - They thought of everything in this kit! It sure is motivating to stay organized when the materials look pretty. Kind of like being motivated to work out when you have new gear!!!

emily - What a kind write-up! I’m so glad you love the designs – you’ll be very excited about March 🙂

Morgan - Those are beautiful papers! What a great kit. I love the floral design.

i read each of their stories so far then i clicked through the Compassion website.
i looked at the faces, into the eyes of those kids and my heart ached for every one of them.
we have talked as a family for years about sponsoring a child.
we’ve done all kinds of other programs and fundraisers but not one like this that is so personal.
well… no more waiting.

today is the day.

today was the day our family said yes to sponsoring!

hip hip hooray!

i am so glad there are ways to give in ways that connect.
i am so grateful there are organizations that do the work so that is possible to do something for others.
i am thrilled for my friends that they get to meet their sponsor families and share a bond now.
that’s huge!

thanks Compassion for doing work that makes a difference!

Crystal - I somehow missed this post before & I guess the Lord led me to it at exactly the right time when it will give my heart & soul the lift that I genuinely need right now. Just seeing the words, “Compassion International” warmed my heart & brought so many wonderful memories & life lessons learned early on in my own childhood through their sponsorship program.
I’m 33 now & due to many fertility issues, miscarriages, etc. the good Lord blessed our family w/my 2 younger sisters…but not until I was 11 & 13 yrs. old~ I got to live life as an only child AND as and older sister essentially & what an amazing BLESSING that has been!!! However, prior to each of their arrivals & through all of those many difficult times…disappointments & what felt like, “impossible to ever get through”, heart aches… (Especially for a kid who’s Christmas list EVERY single year for as long as I could compose one, ALWAYS…ALWAYS…ALWAYS included one, key, item: “a baby brother or baby sister”. NOTHING mattered to me more~ & Prior to being old enough to actually understand the struggles that my poor parents were facing, trying to fulfill my wish (& of course theirs!) my mom had the wonderful idea of sponsoring a child!
It was LIFE CHANGING for me- thinking about it now even, probably more than I ever realized & I’d bet probably more than I ever really made it a point to share directly w/my parents either~ (Note to self to get on that stat…Life is too short to not share these things w/our people! Am I right or am I right!?!)
Anyways, not only did it give me someone special to connect w/that felt like a real extension of our little, nuclear family…but, it opened my eyes to so much beyond myself & my little bubble of a world…(That I didn’t even know I was living in prior to the whole sponsorship experience!)
I was so blessed to have parents that worked incredibly hard & sacrificed greatly to put me (& eventually my younger sisters) through the beat schools available & to travel extensively- but, I had no idea through those experiences what children, just like me in many ways, EXCEPT that they were living in places like Africa or Haiti…where as you know from your experiences, had VERY DIFFERENT & VERY REAL Struggles & Fears that I never, ever, ever would have to worry about in my blessed & protected life.
We chose a sponsorship in Haiti b/c we had friends who ran a mission there & bc my parents had visited there, on a cruise of all things! Prior to my birth, when it was a popular port of call stop! Can you imagine!?!? And, it just felt right…you know?
The girl that we sponsored was a part of out family until she “graduated” for lack of a better word from the program & we stayed in touch for quite a while Into her early adulthood as well. It was an incredible experience for me & such a binding experience for our family as well. All of her letters were so, so special! Getting to see them in her writing & then the translation attached was so neat to me as a kid! I LOVED getting those in the mail! & I loved learning as much as I could about what her life was really like there, about her family, scho (that was made possible for her through our sponsorship!!! Can you say CHOKE BACK THE TEARS! When I now think about how truly POWERFUL & empowering that really is! WOWZERS!!! I learned so much about empathy & generosity & loved doing things to her & her family when I personally could. I felt like I was doing something really impactful, even as “just a kid” & the life lessons that that taught me…PRICELESS!
The small amount of money that it cost to sponsor her monthly in the big scheme of our “American life” vs. The difference that that made in her life- I think is even more astonishing to me now, as an adult, than it was as a kid even. (Probably B/C I have a better understanding of $$ I assume…)
But, my point & ridiculously LONG (SORRY!!!) Heart out pouring here is that I can’t say…scratch that…SCREAM FROM THE MOUNTAIN TOPS!!! Enough!! PLEASE… DO THIS! Sponsor a child, or 2 or 3 or More. Make a donation- get your kids involved~ It WILL CHANGE their lives & teach them INVALUABLE life lessons if you let it! & Get excited about doing it! You are TRULY CHANGING someone else’s life…& we can all stand to give up something on occasion or, on a regular basis- whatever we can afford…
I’ve gone through really difficult times (including financial due to severe health issues-) & praise God again that he is slowly helping my body heal & us get on our feet again. But, I truly believe that this sponsorship experience changed me in a way…way back when….that impacted me & strengthened my faith- gave me hope & helped us better, “weather the storm” the past few years through all of our struggles & my treatments & ups & downs & hopes & failures…ALL of it! I can actually see that now & your post on this brought it ALL flooding back to me as if it was just yesterday & flooded me w/so much emotion & so much gratitude that God led my mom to find Compassion International when she did & for the beautiful life lessons that found their way to me & my life through it.
I think that maybe myself & my family were the most blessed & the biggest recipients throughout the entire experience rather than the other way around, I really do.
Sponsoring a child is the FIRST THING that I am going to do AS SOON AS I AM ABLE to – & I know that as long as I keep leaning on God, that WILL be very soon. Thank you SO SO SO MUCH for this post~ It probably sounds so silly to you, but it was EXACTLY what I needed to read & be reminded of in so many ways! & I mean, exactly!
I have read your blog, & found incredible encouragement, peace, solace, happiness when I was struggling to see any at all to be honest, beautiful creativity that fueled my soul so many times when I, myself haven’t physically been able to actually do any of the things along those lines that had ways been escape…my “Happy Place” really… I could go on & on really, b/c I feel like you are such a kindred spirit even though we’ve never met & your blog has done so much for my life~ there just aren’t enough words to describe how & to thank you enough Meg! Keep up the FABULOUS work that you do & sharing what’s on your heart, b/c I think we all just love you straight up, for being YOU! 😉
“Rainbows & Sunshine”…That’s what you are…& WHO doesn’t love & need that in their lives!?! I mean- come on! 😃
God Bless you & your family & thank you again for be such a gift in my life when I needed it the most!
💛💙💜💚❤️ (I just HAD to throw in some color & a little nod to your live of emojis while I was already taking over for a minute!) 😍

Lisa - I loved following their trip on Instagram! So cool! We have sponsored kids through a different organization. But I love Compassion and know they are such a wonderful organization.

Sarah Lahrman - My husband and I sponsor a child through Compassion as well. It is such a great feeling to know how much you can impact the lives of these children at such a small price. The letters you get just melt your heart. to. pieces. Congrats 🙂

leslie - My family has been sponsoring a little girl in Bolivia through Compassion for about five years now. It is such a worthwhile experience! For the price of a large pizza each month we are able to support her and help her family learn of God. And the letters we get are so precious!

Jenn - What wonderful news! Congratulations!

Heather S. - I find it surprising that you don’t already do this. No reason, really, just assumed you probably did. My husband and I began sponsoring a girl together when we were college students. She grew up and out of the program and we took on another girl. As my girls grew they became more interested in Compassion. Now we have 4 Compassion girls and my 13 yo has been a Compassion correspondent for three years now. She is responsible for writing to 2 of our girls and an additional girl who has a financial sponsor, but no personal relationship. It’s an incredible way for my girl to speak love into the lives of other girls around the world. We have the Philippines, El Salvador, Bolivia, Ghana, and Brazil all represented and my girls learn about these cultures through our correspondence as well. It is an awesome way to serve!

Kelly - That’s so exciting!! You have a new “baby”. Blessings! Kelly
